Here is where I often see a disconnect in organizations. Aspirations may exist but the much “less sexy” work of creating a strategy with an execution plan gets lost, especially when it requires alignment & coordination across units. All the charismatic leadership in the world won’t deliver the mission unless the substance and systems exist to make it real.
